We are so grateful and excited that you’re considering travelling to celebrate with us in Sicily. We know a destination wedding takes extra planning, so we’ve answered a few early questions below, with more details to follow closer to the day.

As this is an international destination, we recommend booking flights and accommodation as early as possible.

We recommend staying in Ortigia, the old town of Syracuse.
We’re currently confirming our hotel recommendations and will be reserving room blocks at a small selection of hotels at a range of prices.

Yes.
We’ll be providing round-trip transportation from Ortigia on the wedding day, so there’s no need to hire a car specifically for the celebration.
Full pickup details and timings will be shared closer to the date.

If you’re staying in Ortigia, you won’t need a car for wedding events.
Ortigia is walkable, and we’ll provide transport on the wedding day.If you’re planning to explore Sicily beyond the wedding weekend, a car may be useful for your wider trip.

Completely up to you! We would love to you to be able to stay for 2–3 nights to enjoy Sicily properly and take part in all the celebrations.
Many guests are planning to make a longer trip of it, which we love the idea of.
We will be sharing some of our favourite activities, restaurants and spots to visit here soon…

The nearest airport is Catania Fontanarossa (CTA).
Ortigia is around 1 hour from the airport by car or transfer.
We’ll share recommended transfer options closer to the date.

Yes!
We’re planning to gather everyone for a welcome reception the evening before the wedding and brunch the day after the ceremony.
We’ll share details of any additional casual plans for the rest of the weekend in due course.

We understand that your schedule might not allow you to attend all of the event.
You will be able to indicate what parts of the celebrations you will be able to attend on RSVP, following formal invitations. -
The wedding ceremony will be held on 6 June 2027, and we will be hosting additional events the evening before and day after.

Yes - children are very welcome to join us for the weekend in Sicily.
We’re exploring options of child-friendly entertainment or care on-site during the ceremony if required.
For parents who fancy a proper night off (no tiny humans in tow), we’ll also be happy to recommend local babysitters in Ortigia.

Plus ones will be specified on the formal invitations.
As this is a destination wedding with limited space, we’re unfortunately not able to extend a plus one to everyone.
That said, if there’s someone special you’d really love to bring, please let us know.
